Cheers to the Season

We’ve almost always got something festive going on—45 whole weeks of the year, in fact. From celebrating spring’s beauty to kicking things up a few notches for the holidays, we love to celebrate with seasonal festivals hosted throughout the year and extra special opportunities for fun scattered around the resort. We have a feeling you’ll enjoy celebrating, too.

Harvest Festival

September 14 - October 27

During the fall, Firefly Cove transforms into a fall festival complete with a pumpkin patch, festival games, glow-in-the-dark carved pumpkins, and a one-night-only special trick-or-treat trail during Halloween week! Join in on all the harvest fun with crafts, s’mores, candy, and more.

Butterfly Experience

May 25 - September 3 

Featuring more than 1,000 “Painted Ladies” fluttering around our all-new butterfly aviary, the Butterfly Experience rings in spring in style! Learn about the wonderful winged creatures, chat with education specialists who have the answers to all your questions, experience the incredible transformation process at the metamorphosis station, and color your favorite plants and butterflies at the Butterfly Experience!

Christmas in the Cove

November 4 - January 15 

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! What better way to spend it than in a Smoky Mountain winter wonderland, complete with over 100,000 festive lights, fully decked-out Christmas trees, and a 17,000 sq. ft. ice skating rink? Enjoy Christmas crafts, warm up with s’mores by the fire, and enjoy the festivity of the season. Plus, our holly jolly Christmas condos add an extra layer of Santa-approved festivity to the season.

Art in the Cove

March 9 - May 12

Get ready for an unforgettable Spring at The Resorts Art in the Cove Festival! From March until May, Firefly Cove will be transformed into a vibrant celebration of creativity and Appalachian heritage complete with intricate quilts and larger-than-life mosaic bears. Spin art and tie-dye activities bring out the inner artist in all of our Camp Firefly campers, while our scavenger hunt for hidden treasure invites you to embrace your adventurous side.

Special One-Day Event | October 26, 2024

Join us for Halloween fun on October 26, 2024! It's good old-fashioned family fun that will have you dressing up, laughing, and trick-or-treating all evening long.

  • 5:00 PM - 5:30 PM: Paint by Number and Coloring Contest

Kick off the evening by unleashing your inner artist! Grab your paintbrushes and coloring pencils for a creative session of paint by number and a coloring contest. Show off your skills and create your Halloween masterpiece!

  • 5:30 PM - 6:15 PM: Pumpkin and Haunted Gingerbread House Decorating

Get into the Halloween spirit by decorating your very own pumpkin and gingerbread cookies. Let your imagination run wild as you craft spooky, sweet, and delicious treats to enjoy.

  • 6:15 PM - 7:15 PM: Trick or Treat

It's time for the main event! Put on your best costume and embark on a thrilling Trick or Treat adventure throughout Firefly Cove. Our friendly staff and volunteers will be handing out treats and surprises at every turn. Don't forget to bring your treat bag and a big smile!

  • 7:15 PM - 7:30 PM: Contest Announcements | Prizes

We'll gather to announce the winners of our Coloring, Gingerbread, and Costume Contest! As the tension rises, we'll reveal who has captured the essence of Halloween with their spooky talent. Will you be one of our lucky winners? Join us to find out and claim your spooktacular prizes!

  • 7:30 PM - 9:30 PM: Hocus Pocus Movie on the Lawn

As the night falls, gather with family and friends on our lawn for an outdoor screening of the beloved Halloween classic, "Hocus Pocus." Lawn chairs and movie popcorn are provided, creating the perfect atmosphere to enjoy this fan-favorite film under the stars.
